Erastus married his second wife, Elizabeth Reed on 8 August 1871. The 1880 census lists Erastus and his wife Elizabeth and their daughter Annie Le Garrison. Erastus died 3 Feb 1883 and is buried in Big Bone Baptist Cemetery.
