Biography
John William Corbin was an heir of William Corbin (died 1797) of Culpeper (Va.). His will was transcribed into Boone Will Book A as his son and heir, Benjamin Lewis Corbin (1765-circa 1852) lived in Boone and inherited 3 enslaved persons. The rest of the family appear to have remained in Virginia. This was William's son. He is listed as William Corbin in military records and in the will, along with his wife Frances, however he also alternately appears as John in various records.
