Biography: Born in 1786, either in Connecticut or New York, to Zerah Tousey and Anna Johnson. Vanvector, also known as Vanvechten, married Betsey Johnson in 1813. Betsey was the daughter of prominent citizen Cave Johnson. Tragically, Vanvector died in 1815 at the age of 28 from an unknown cause. He is buried in the Tousey Cemetery.
