Biography
Matilda Yager married Ezekiel Souther in 1826. In the 1830 and 1840 Boone County (Ky.) censuses they hold 4 and 3 slaves, respectively. Her husband dies in 1843, and she is shown to be living in with her daughter, son-in-law and their children in the 1850 census and onward. in the 1880 census, her daughter is also widowed and they live together. She dies shortly after, in 1882.
