Description
-
Historic Status: National Register of Historic Places
-
Floor Plan: T-Plan
-
Reportedly built for a riverboat captain in 1878, this house is one of the significant buildings that form a visual boundary to the town of Petersburg: it faces the town but is not in line with the grid of streets. The second-floor balcony and the two-story semioctagonal bay seem to indicate that the owner or builder was influenced by the Jenkins House on Prospect Hill (BE-55).--'Survey of Historic Sites in Kentucky: Boone County'
