Description

Floor Plan: Hall Parlor
-
Sitting on Ashby Fork Road in neglected condition, yet externally intact, the Robert Smith House represents the center-chimney I-house popular in the county in the second and third quarters of the 19th century. The tall, narrow windows and simple, full-width porch suggest the house was built after the Civil War. Also on the property are a timber-frame barn, concrete tile silo, smokehouse and privy.
