Description: Historic Status: Demolished; Floor Plan: Homestead; Located on River Road in Constance, the house was built for the couple by Adam himself. Built circa 1901, the home remained in the family for six decades.; One of several Homestead Houses in the county, the Hempfling House is tall and compact in form, with forward-facing gable. Extending across the facade is a full-width, shed-roofed porch with center gable. Extending across the facade is a full-width, shed roofed porch with center gable, carried by chamfered posts and enclosed by a crossbuck-style wooden balustrade. Below the porch, a skirt of vertical wood siding, with notched edge, conceals the crawlspace.
