Biography

William worked for William and Jemima Tanner, like his mother before him. He stayed on after William Tanner's death, continuing to work for Jemima until her death in 1912. Having no children, she named William as her sole heir, inheriting all of her property.

Afterwards, William continued farming, working for the Busby family who had farms near the Tanners in the Sugartit area.

His brother, John Allen Thomas, lived with him, and occasionally other family members. However, he never married.

William died in 1941, after being accidentally hit by a car.
