The author lists a “Wait Stephens” and a “Waite Alemeda” when actually these folks' names were Stephen Waite (Wait) and Almeda (Stephens) Waite (Wait). These are my 3rd Great Uncle and Aunt. Stephen Waite was from Penn Yan, New York who migrated to Kentucky and married into the Stephens family. Almeda Stephens Waite was the daughter of John A. and Frances Stephens the benefactors of the Florence Christian Church. John A. Stephens owned and farmed most of the land that is now Florence, KY.”
