(Kentucky State Gazeteer, 1879) He was also the proprietor of a general store, Clements and Connelly Grocers.; He was appointed postmaster on 25 Jan 1865.; Clements was married to Minerva J. Riley (3 Sep 1835-9 Nov 1904). He died on 17 June 1900.
