Tousey, Zerah
Born in 1762 to Thomas and Mercy Platt Tousey, Zerah Tousey was one of three brothers who migrated to Boone County just after 1800. The brothers established a ferry service directly across the Ohio River from Lawrenceburg, Indiana near what is now Petersburg, Kentucky. Moses married Anna Johnson, most likely in Greene County, New York. Zerah Tousey is buried in the Tousey Cemetery in Boone County.

Tousey, Vanvector
Born in 1786, either in Connecticut or New York, to Zerah Tousey and Anna Johnson. Vanvector, also known as Vanvechten, married Betsey Johnson in 1813. Betsey was the daughter of prominent citizen Cave Johnson. Tragically, Vanvector died in 1815 at the age of 28 from an unknown cause. He is buried in the Tousey Cemetery.

Tousey, Thomas, Jr.
Born in 1775 to Thomas and Mercy Platt Tousey, Thomas Tousey was one of three brothers who migrated to Boone County just after 1800. The brothers established a ferry service directly across the Ohio River from Lawrenceburg, Indiana near what is now Petersburg, Kentucky. Thomas married Lydia Elizabeth Percival, the daughter of Revolutionary War Veteran Captain Timothy Percival. Although his exact burial location isn't known, Thomas Tousey is believed to be buried in Tousey Cemetery in Boone County.

Tousey, Oliver
Born in Touseytown, Boone County in 1821 to Thomas and Lydia Elisabeth Percival Tousey. Oliver Tousey was married twice: first to Mary Eliza Eddy and second to Elizabeth Bush Smith. By 1850, Oliver had moved with his young family to Indianapolis, Indiana where they lived with his mother and siblings. His occupation throughout his life was a dry goods merchant. Oliver Tousey died in 1875 and is buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Tousey, Erastus
Erastus Tousey was born on 9 October 1798 in New York to Zerah and Anna Tousey. The family moved from New York to Boone County by 1805, when Zerah and his brothers established a ferry crossing to Lawrenceburg at Second Creek.

McHenry, Catherine S.
Catherine McHenry was the wife of Erastus Tousey. She and her husband were long-time residents of Burlington, Kentucky where their home is still preserved today. Catherine is buried next to Erastus in the Old Burlington Cemetery, located just north of town.

Johnson, Betsey
Betsey Johnson was the daughter of early settler, Cave Johnson and his wife Elizabeth Craig. Betsey was first married to Vanvector Tousey in 1813, but was tragically widowed by 1815. She married Thomas Layton in 1818.

Philip Taliafero maintained properties in Georgetown (Ky.) and Boone County (Ky.).

Talbot, James
A James S. Talbott appears in the 1810 Boone County (Ky.) census with his wife, 6 children and holding 4 enslaved. In 1820 he is living in Gallatin County (Ky.) with his wife, an elder, and 4 children. At this point he holds 11 enslaved. By 1840, he is in his seventies, and living in Carroll County (Ky.) with his wife and another older woman. He holds eleven enslaved.

Taylor, John
John Taylor's military record states that he was born in the 1750s. At the end of his life, he was living in Washington County (Ky.). He served with the Virginia Militia in the U.S. Revolutionary war. The 7 persons enslaved by him appear in the 1800 records of the Bullittsburg Baptist Church.

Trundle, Thomas J.
Dr. Thomas Trundle frequently bartered with patients for his medical services, and provided loans through mortgage for many local landowners. As a result, conflict arose between Trundle and the many people who owed him money. Trundle was practicing medicine in Boone County, and records support the fact that many of the local slaveholders in the area bartered with him for medical care for the enslaved people nearby.
