1851--Moses Escape Cited at the November meeting of the Middle Creek Baptist Church by William Huey. He (Moses) "eloped from this part of the country a short time since." He also cited him for "wanting to fight." Huey may have been his slave holder.

1865--Four Escape from Dinsmore Farm The freedom seekers were members of the Middle Creek Baptist Church. The September 1865 records, which were reported by S. P. Brady, state that "Lewis, Nancy, Ann and Louisa left state in disorderly manner." Nancy and possibly Lewis and Ann may be from the Dinsmore farm.
