William Ernst Hentschel (1892-1962) was a well-known mid-twentieth century artist. “Billy” Hentschel was a designer for Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati. He resided at his Burlington home in the old Tandy log cabin with his wife, Alza (1911-1982) who was also an artist.

Greenway, John Campbell "John Greenway was born in Huntsville, Alabama, and graduated from Yale University with a degree in engineering. Rising to the upper echelons of the mining industry in Minnesota and Arizona, Greenway took a professional break to join the Rough Riders at the beginning of the Spanish-American War. He met his wife, Isabella, through his friendship with her first husband, Robert H. M. Ferguson, another Rough Rider.
