Biography

In November, 1815, Alice escaped from slaveholder Mary Mosby (widow of Benjamin Mosby.) She was described as having been a "house servant" and was about twenty when she escaped. It appears she was caught, as she appeared in the inventory of Benjamin Mosby's estate in January, 1816.

Alice was valued at $400 in the 9 January 1816 inventory.
