Biography
The 1856 division of the slaves held by John Berkshire became part of the widow's dower (Frances Ellen Berkshire Crisler) until her death. Lavina was given a value of $300 to Henry Berkshire. Lavina also appears in the 1838 appraisal of the estate, valued at $500.
