Organized in Kentucky at large May 3 to June 1, 1864, Attached to Defences of Nashville & Northwestern Railroad, Dept. of the Cumberland, to December, 1864. 2nd Colored Brigade, District of the Etowah, Dept. of the Cumberland, to January, 1865. Defences of Nashville & Northwestern Railroad, Dept. of the Cumberland, to January, 1865. Defences of Nashville and Northwestern Railroad, Dept. of the Cumberland, to December, 1865.
Guard duty on Nashville and Northwestern Railroad in Tennessee till December, 1864. Skirmish on Nashville & Northwestern Railroad September 4. Action at Johnsonville November 4-5. Battle of Nashville, Tenn., December 15-16. Overton Hill December 16. Pursuit of Hood to the Tennessee River December 17-28. Again assigned to guard duty on Nashville & Northwestern Railroad January 16, 1865, and so continued till December, 1865.
