Biography
Born in Touseytown, Boone County in 1821 to Thomas and Lydia Elisabeth Percival Tousey. Oliver Tousey was married twice: first to Mary Eliza Eddy and second to Elizabeth Bush Smith. By 1850, Oliver had moved with his young family to Indianapolis, Indiana where they lived with his mother and siblings. His occupation throughout his life was a dry goods merchant. Oliver Tousey died in 1875 and is buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
