Biography
Benjamin Lewis Corbin was the son of William Corbin (died 1797) of Culpeper, Virginia. Upon the death of his father, the enslaved persons held were distributed amongst his heirs. Benjamin Lewis directly inherited three of those persons and moved to Kentucky while his siblings remained in Virginia. In 1840 Benjamin Corbin is living in Boone County, Kentucky with five free whites in his household. Benjamin Corbin is living in District Two, Boone County, Kentucky in 1850.
