Description
December 30th: The trial of Ralf and Ned for a felony charge. They were enslaved by William Carter and Jeremiah Kirtley, respectively. They were charged with murdering James, who was held by John Jones. Both claimed innocence but Ralf was found guilty and was sentenced to be hanged on February 5th for manslaughter while Ned was sentenced to 25 lashes on his bare back.
