- In August 1826, Bill and an unnamed woman, both enslaved by "Bro. Terrill" (probably John Terrill) both successfully self-emancipate. Bill is a member of Bullittsburg Baptist Church and is excluded for "absconding" and for having left his wife for another woman (with whom he escaped).
