- In 1832, Henry was provided as collateral for a loan along with his sister, Dolly, their mother, Becky or Beck and a man named Foster, by their enslaver, James Benham. Jeremiah Garnett loaned Benham $700, the assessed value of the four people. No additional documents were found showing the debt was paid.
