Rebecca, a 24-yr-old freedom seeker, escaped Winchester enslaver Samuel McClure on March 11, 1816. She is described as about 5 ft. tall and was carrying a piece of coating fabric for a handkerchief. McClure offerd that anyone who would return Rebecca would be "handsomely rewarded."
