Henderson purchased Robinson and family from Robert Daniels. John was married to Peggy Smith by a ""white minister"" according to Emma Rouse Lloyd's book, ""Clasping Hands with Generations Past."" John was buried on his son Andrew's farm, in the Robinson cemetery on Chambers Road."
