Biography

Pitman Cloudas was born in Virginia around 1789 or 1790. He moved to Kentucky around 1810 or 1811. On 11 July 1811 he married Eleanor Rayburn in Franklin County. After Eleanor's death, he married Joice Faulconer on 18 May 1826.

Cloudas appears in the 1820 Census living in Mercer County, and holding one enslaved person.

Sometime after 1820, Pitman Cloudas moved from Mercer Co. to Boone Co. He served as the first postmaster of Florence, and was the first chairman of the town council.

Cloudas died in neighboring Grant County in 1832.
