Yates, William Viley, Dr. Originally enlisting in 1861, it appears he was wounded at the Battle of Wilson's Creek in Missouri on Aug 10, 1861. William earned a bounty of $39 for re-enlisting the following year.

Yates, Robert Arthur He was "wounded severely" through the side at the Battle of Champion Hill (Baker's Creek) during the Vicksburg Campaign in May 1863. He was sent to a hospital at Vicksburg, where he was captured by the U.S. Army on July 4, 1863. He was given parole on July 8, after promising to quit the war. Instead, he rejoined Confederate forces. He was killed in front of Kennesaw Mountain in Georgia on June 18, 1864.
